The day is traditionally broken into three sessions, with each session aimed at achieving a slightly different goal.

The morning period may involve service-users helping to clean their own rooms or being responsible for any of the numerous tasks involved in maintaining a living space - basic, but essential skills that give a greater measure of self-worth and independence.

A general house aim is that, barring severe weather, service users should be encouraged to get out at least once a day.

Service-users are encouraged to participate in daily activities, which include home and community-based pursuits, seven days a week.

Activities are chosen according to the service-users care-plan and are aimed at involvement and inclusion.
